COURSE CONTENT: This course aims to improve the vocabulary, specific to the industry, which will help you avoid any misunderstandings at sea. The course covers areas including communications in distress, urgency and safety, port operations, communications and social interactions onboard.

LEVEL: elementary/ pre-intermediate/ intermediate

COURSE OBJECTIVES: The objective of this course is to establish the minimum level of maritime English language skills in accordance with the requirements of the ISM Code and STCW Convention.

REQUIREMENTS: The course will be conducted on the basis of a proper manual carefully chosen and will include periodic tests to assess the progress, focusing on developing communication, listening and writing skills on issues of maritime English.

METHODS OF TRAINING: The trainer will help you practice the skills of speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and understanding through accessible interactive and active explanations, following the method of teaching. All these are carefully checked by dialogue, homework and projects.

TARGET GROUP: These courses are recommended for all seafarers with or without Certificate of Competence.
